The project had as its main objective the optimization and sustainability of the technological infrastructure in 62 educational units of 6th grade secondary schools located in the urban area of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. This was achieved through the comprehensive maintenance of structured cabling systems (LAN) and electrical systems, as well as specialized training of key personnel in each institution. Technical Maintenance Intervention A thorough maintenance was carried out in each of the 62 educational buildings, covering two critical areas: Structured Cabling (LAN): The intervention included the verification, repair, and optimization of the entire network infrastructure, ensuring stable and high-performance connectivity for computer equipment. This involved reviewing network points, cabling (UTP/STP), connectors (RJ45), patch panels, and the physical organization of cabling to meet performance and reliability standards. Electrical System: A review and maintenance of the electrical system were carried out to ensure constant and secure power supply to all components of the "Technological Floor". This included inspecting power outlets, electrical panels, protection circuits, and identifying/correcting any anomalies that could compromise the operational stability of the equipment. Specialized Training and Knowledge Transfer A fundamental component of the project was the technical training aimed at the "Technological References" of each educational unit, as well as those responsible for the KUAAS (laptops). This training sought to empower local personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary for the autonomous management and maintenance of the "Technological Floor". The topics covered included: Server Administration and Operation: Basic configuration, performance monitoring, user and resource management, and data backup procedures. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System Management: Monitoring the UPS status, interpreting indicators, battery autonomy, and safe shutdown procedures. Configuration and Maintenance of Access Points: Optimizing Wi-Fi coverage, managing SSID, network security, and resolving wireless connectivity issues. Network Switch Administration: Managing VLANs (if applicable), monitoring ports, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and optimizing data flow in the local network. Organization and Maintenance of the Telecommunications Cabinet: Best practices for order and cleanliness, cable identification, and physical securing of equipment. Handling and Operation of KUAAS: Basic hardware and software diagnosis, connectivity to the educational network, energy management, and best practices for extending the lifespan of the equipment. This dual approach of maintenance and training ensures the continuous operation and long-term sustainability of the technological infrastructure, facilitating an effective digital learning environment in the educational units of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
