Description
The project involved the Supervision and Quality Control in the execution of works aimed at providing and expanding the Potable Water and Sanitary Sewerage service of a Condominal type, through the optimization of the integral system of capture, conduction, storage, and distribution of the water resource. The supervised activities included: i) Execution of preliminary works; ii) Supply and installation of 8,800 linear meters of pipes for pumping and conduction; iii) Construction of a metal tank on soil with a capacity of 800 m³; iv) Re-equipment of two existing wells, in operation, as well as the integral rehabilitation of their electrical systems; v) Installation and commissioning of a fully equipped relay station; vi) Execution of 200 new household connections; vii) Technical couplings to the existing distribution networks; and viii) Application of environmental mitigation measures, labor risk prevention, cleaning of the intervention area, and formal delivery of the works. During the supervision process, a rigorous control of the quality of the materials used and the construction procedures was carried out, ensuring compliance with the technical specifications established in the project design. The inspection activities included laboratory tests, hydraulic pressure tests, and verification of the functionality of each component of the system, with the objective of guaranteeing the operability, efficiency, and durability of the installations. Complementarily, the Social Development and Training component was implemented, aimed at the direct beneficiaries of the project. This component contemplated activities of awareness, capacity strengthening, and technical training for the proper use and maintenance of the potable water and sanitary sewerage networks. Community participation was actively promoted, consolidating the sustainability of the system through social appropriation of the same.
