Description
The project consisted of the Final Design Study for the General Police Command Building, located on a plot of land with an approximate surface area of 3,000 m2. The architectural and structural solution materialized in a building with 2 basements and 18 floors above ground level, designed to optimize functionality and institutional operability, including a double-height patio/atrium above the building's base. Specialized functionalities were integrated, including an auditorium with a capacity for 300 people and a floor with a hotel-type configuration, intended for the overnight stay of authorities. The scope of the study was exhaustive and included the following engineering and architecture disciplines, ensuring a comprehensive conception of the project: Architectural Design: Development of plans, sections, elevations, and construction details, optimizing spatial distribution and functional flow. Anti-Seismic Structural Calculation: Detailed structural modeling and analysis, applying current seismic-resistant regulations to ensure the integrity and stability of the building in the face of seismic events. Design of Electrical Installations: Sizing of low and medium voltage networks, lighting systems (normal and emergency), earthing, and design of substations. Design of Sanitary Installations: Engineering of potable water systems (supply, storage, and distribution), sanitary and storm drainage, including pumping and pre-treatment systems if applicable. Design of Heating Systems: Projection of air conditioning and heating systems, considering energy efficiency and internal thermal comfort. Design of Structured Cabling: Planning of the telecommunications infrastructure (voice and data), including the laying of LAN networks, access points, and equipment rooms. Design of Special Systems: Integration of subsystems such as fire detection and extinguishing, electronic security (CCTV, access control), building management systems (BMS), and other specific technological requirements. This study provides the complete engineering and architectural basis for the construction of a resilient, functional, and technologically advanced infrastructure for the General Police Command.
