Description
This project consisted of technical supervision and quality control of the complementary civil works for the Satellite Regasification Stations (ESR) in Coroico, Rurrenabaque, and San Borja, in the departments of La Paz and Beni. These ESR are fundamental to the Virtual System of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Bolivia, extending access to natural gas to populations without conventional gas pipelines. Supervision ensured the correct execution of the support infrastructure, guaranteeing its safety and durability. Technical Scope of Supervision The supervision covered the execution of essential civil works for the integral and safe operation of the stations: Earthworks: Control of excavations, fillings, and platform formation, with verification of compaction densities. Foundations and Slabs: Inspection and quality control in the pouring of reinforced concrete foundations for cryogenic tanks, equipment, and containment cubicles, including reinforcement and concrete quality. Containment Cubicles: Verification of the construction of watertight walls and floors for LNG containment, in accordance with industrial safety regulations. Circulation Routes and Pavements: Supervision of the formation of sub-base, granular base, and pavement laying (paving or asphalt) in internal areas, accesses, and parking lots, controlling compaction and drainage. Complementary Buildings: Supervision of the construction of control buildings, offices, electrical/instrumentation rooms, and warehouses, including their installations (electrical, sanitary, air conditioning). Perimeter Fences and Security: Verification of the construction of security fences, gates, and control booths. Drainage Works: Supervision of stormwater drainage systems (channels, ditches). Hydrosanitary Installations: Control of the execution of drinking water and sewage systems. Infrastructure for Detection and Protection: Supervision of bases and ducts for fire protection and earthing systems. Technical Relevance The supervision was crucial to ensure the structural integrity and safe functionality of the ESR. This allows the Coroico, Rurrenabaque, and San Borja stations to operate efficiently, regasifying LNG for distribution to household, commercial, industrial, and CNG networks, positively impacting access to natural gas in these regions.
