Description
The project consisted of the Review of the Final Design for the Commissioning of the Río Seco – Desaguadero road section, addressing the following technical components: road inventory, geotechnical study, topographic survey, drainage system, and structural package. The review of the final design of the rehabilitation program for the mentioned section allowed identifying technical, logistical, environmental, and socioeconomic aspects that require specific attention. In technical terms, the proposed design presents adequate structural solutions for the geographical and climatic conditions of the Altiplano. However, opportunities for improvement were observed, such as in the selection of materials for the pavement, which should consider the projected traffic volume, exposure to extreme climates, and availability of local materials, in order to guarantee optimal performance and durability of the road. In the socioeconomic sphere, the importance of the project generating direct benefits to local communities was highlighted. To this end, it was proposed to prioritize the hiring of local labor, promote technical training programs, and promote economic development initiatives linked to the work. It was also suggested to establish mechanisms for citizen participation and social control that strengthen transparency and governance of the project throughout all its phases. Aspects considered in the project: Cost analysis: Detailed evaluation of the costs associated with the construction, maintenance, and operation of the section. Risk management: Identification of technical, environmental, and social risks, with their respective mitigation measures. Monitoring and evaluation: Implementation of a tracking system that allows measuring the fulfillment of the established objectives. Sustainability criteria: Inclusion of sustainable approaches in the design and execution of the project, such as the use of recycled materials, clean technologies, and energy efficiency.
