The "Final Design Study of the Irrigation Project for the Tururumba Community (Ayango and Racete)" project focused on creating an advanced and sustainable irrigation system for the communities of Ayango and Racete, with the primary objective of improving agricultural productivity and the quality of life of its inhabitants. This final design study consisted of the detailed planning of a drip irrigation system, a highly efficient methodology that optimizes the use of water and fertilizers, directing them directly to the root zone of plants. The implementation of this system is projected to cover an area of 300 hectares, which represents a significant impact on the region's productive capacity. Beyond the technical aspects, the project recognized the importance of community participation and social development. To this end, socialization workshops were held where the project was presented to community members, their concerns were heard, and their ownership of the project was encouraged. Additionally, a Community Development (DESCOM) component was integrated, which sought to strengthen local capacities, promote sustainable management of the water resource, and ensure that the benefits of the project are translated into comprehensive development for Tururumba. In summary, this project not only focuses on irrigation infrastructure, but also integrates a holistic vision that considers water efficiency, agricultural sustainability, and community empowerment.
